Full Synopsis
Seeking solitude after a traumatic loss, firefighter Dan retreats to a remote cabin deep in the Appalachian mountains with his dog, Bear. Cut off from the outside world, Dan hopes the isolation will give him a chance to clear his head. Instead, when Bear mysteriously disappears, Dan begins to notice unsettling signs that something else is moving through the woods.
As night falls, strange sounds, fleeting figures, and an increasingly unnatural presence begin to blur the line between memory and reality. When Bear returns, Dan is relieved to have his companion back, but his relief quickly turns to fear as the dog begins exhibiting disturbing behavior and something in the darkness starts to reveal itself.
Alone and increasingly unsure of what he is seeing, Dan must confront a presence that seems to be drawing closer with every passing night.
